But don’t go thinkin’ you can just draw a rune on a rock and be safe from everything. You still gotta use your head and be careful, ya hear? Lock your doors, watch your step, and don’t go messin’ with things ya shouldn’t. Common sense, that’s the best protection, always has been. But if you wanna draw some fancy runes on your door too, well, I ain’t gonna stop ya. Might make ya feel a little safer, and that ain’t a bad thing.
So, what’s the bottom line? Well, them runes, they’re like little reminders, I reckon. Reminders to be strong, to be careful, and to keep movin’ forward. And maybe, just maybe, they got a little bit of that old magic in ‘em too. Who knows for sure? Not this old woman, that’s for certain.
But I tell you what, believin’ in somethin’, that’s powerful stuff. Whether it’s runes, or prayers, or just plain good luck, havin’ somethin’ to hold onto makes the world a little less scary. And that’s a good thing in my book.

I heard some folks sayin’ Algiz stands for other things too, like bein’ able to survive and defendin’ yourself. Makes sense, I guess. If you’re gonna be protected, you gotta be able to fight back a little, right? And survivin’, well, that’s the whole point, ain’t it? Livin’ another day, seein’ another sunrise.
