Back in my day, celebrities were real people, like the preacher and the mayor. Now, they’re just faces on a screen.

Sounds chilly, like our winters here. This show’s got a French fella, a scientist, who turns into a spy. And he falls for a Russian gal, a “KGB” they call her. Sounds like trouble to me. Russians and Americans, always at each other’s throats back then. Still are, if you ask me.
Now, why are people so hot on these shows, huh? I reckon it’s ’cause they like a good story. Everyone likes a bit of excitement, even if it’s just on the telly. And maybe they like to see how other folks live, even if it’s just make-believe. Me, I like a good story too, but I prefer the ones I can tell myself, the ones about my family and the farm.
They say this spy one is a “drama”. Means it’s serious, I guess. Lots of talking and feelings and maybe some shootin’. Not like them silly comedies they show sometimes, with all the slapstick and whatnot. I don’t get that kind of humor. Give me a good old-fashioned story any day, one with a beginning, a middle, and an end. And maybe a few good characters you can root for. Or hiss at, dependin’ on if they’re good or bad.
And what about this “totem” word itself? Sounds like somethin’ the Indians would use. Maybe it means somethin’ special, somethin’ powerful. Like a symbol or a sign. Could be that’s why they use it for these shows, to make ’em sound important or mysterious. Or maybe they just liked the sound of it, who knows? City folks are strange that way, always comin’ up with fancy words for things.
So, should you watch these “Totem” shows? Well, I dunno. Ain’t seen ’em myself. But if you like wolves and woods or spies and secrets, then maybe you’ll enjoy ’em. Just don’t expect ’em to be like real life, ’cause real life ain’t usually that exciting. Unless you live on a farm, like me. Then every day’s an adventure, what with the weather and the animals and all. But that’s a story for another time.
From what I hear, folks on the internet, they talk about these shows. They have their own ways, seems like. Like this one fella, he was talkin’ about some game and how to make it work better. Reminds me of fixin’ the tractor, gotta tinker with it ’til it runs right. And then there’s another one, givin’ advice on how to play some game, like a recipe for a good stew. Gotta have the right ingredients, I guess.
And this other fella, he’s talkin’ ‘bout some game character, a “trickster” he calls ‘em. Reminds me of that old coon dog we used to have, always gettin’ into mischief. So I reckon, even in these fancy shows and games, there’s bits and pieces of real life, if you know where to look. But city folks get all tangled up in technical stuff, can’t never just say it straight.
