Pools too. Sounds like they got everything but the kitchen sink, and they probably got that too, a fancy one, mind you.

  • Golf Courses: They got these championship 18-hole golf courses. Don’t know much about golf, but it sounds important to them.
  • Tennis & Pickleball Courts: For hittin’ balls back and forth, I guess. Good way to get some exercise, maybe.
  • Dining Venues: Seven different places to eat! Must be nice not havin’ to cook every night.
  • Pools: For swimmin’ and splashin’, I reckon. Good for the young’uns.

But here’s the kicker. You gotta “buy in” to this Hunters Run thing. It ain’t free, that’s for sure. You gotta pay to join, and then you gotta keep payin’ every year. Membership they call it. And it ain’t cheap, from what I hear. They use that money to keep things lookin’ nice, and pay for all them fancy fixin’s they got. And you have to pay HOA fees, that what they say.

Now, before you go jumpin’ into this Hunters Run business, you gotta do your homework. You gotta read all them rules and restrictions. They got a whole book of ’em, I bet. And you gotta see how much money they got, make sure they ain’t gonna run out and leave you with a mess. Budget they call it. And bylaws, whatever them are.

And get this, some places are only for old folks, 55 and older they say, called retirement communities. So if you’re young and spry, that ain’t for you, I tell you that now.

I also heard something about they were taking money from members, something about renovations and improvements. A whole lot of money too, millions they say. Promised to give it back when they sell their houses, but who knows if that’ll happen.

And some places are fancy homes and luxury ones, Country Club they say. High class living I suppose.

So, there you have it. Hunters Run. Sounds like a lot of work and money to me, but some folks seem to like it. Just make sure you know what you’re gettin’ yourself into before you sign on the dotted line. That’s what I always say. Better safe than sorry, like lookin’ both ways ‘fore crossin’ the road.
