Okay, let’s get this done. Today I’m gonna talk about my experience finding those runes for my Paladin in Season of Discovery.
So, first off, I was super stoked to find out that we can get all our runes right from the get-go, like as soon as we hit level 1. That’s a game changer, man. Makes leveling up so much smoother. These new vendors called Rune Brokers are where it’s at. They’re chilling in each race’s main city, and they’re selling the runes for just 1 gold each. Can you believe it? Just one gold!
I started my adventure in Stormwind. I heard I needed to chat with this lady named Liv Bradford. Found her, no problem. She told me I gotta deal with some dude named Stuart who’s been causing trouble. She gave me a rough location, something like 21.99, which isn’t super precise but hey, it’s a start.
I headed over to the area, keeping my eyes peeled. Spotted Stuart after a bit of looking around. Let’s just say we had a little “chat,” and he won’t be bothering anyone anymore. Went back to Liv, and boom, I got the Rebuke rune. It was pretty straightforward, to be honest.
After that, I figured I’d grab the rest of the runes from the Rune Broker. Walked over, bought everything I needed, and I was set. It’s crazy how easy they made it this time around. No more running all over the place trying to find some obscure item or complete some crazy long quest chain.
Here’s the thing, though. While it’s awesome that we can get all the runes so easily, it kinda takes away from the exploration part of the game, you know? I remember back in the day when finding a new rune felt like a real accomplishment. Now it’s just, go to the city, buy what you need, and you’re done.
Key Paladin Runes
- Rebuke: Interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for a short time.
Anyway, that’s my experience with the Paladin runes in Season of Discovery. It’s a mixed bag, but I’m leaning towards liking the change. Leveling is way faster, and that’s always a plus. Plus, you can focus on trying out different builds without wasting a ton of time hunting down runes.
Oh, by the way, I remember last year when I was leveling up my warrior, I got stuck on this one quest forever, couldn’t find this one stupid item, then later I found out you could just buy it from a vendor. I was like, are you kidding me? Wasted so much time for nothing. This new system for runes is definitely better than that. It’s a big time saver, and that’s always good. Less time spent on tedious tasks means more time for fun stuff, right?
So, yeah. I got the runes for my paladin. It was easy. Go to Stormwind, talk to Liv, deal with Stuart, then buy the rest from the broker. You’re done. Now I can go back to actually playing the game. See ya!
