So, the other day, I decided to mess around with these tarot cards I picked up a while back. I’ve always been curious about them, but never really knew where to start. Anyway, I figured, what the heck, let’s give it a shot. I went ahead and pulled out two cards randomly and wouldn’t you know it, I got The Lovers and Death. Yeah, Death. Sounds pretty ominous, right?
The Process
First thing I did was lay the cards out on my beat-up coffee table. I just stared at them for a while, taking in the images. The Lovers card had this picture of a couple, looked kinda heavenly, all peaceful and stuff. Then there was Death, which, yeah, was a skeleton dude on a horse. Not exactly a feel-good image. I felt a bit uneasy, I gotta admit.
After staring at them for a bit, I did what any normal person would do – I whipped out my phone and started looking things up. I mean, I had no clue what these two cards meant together, especially Death. From what I found, The Lovers is all about relationships, choices, and emotional connections. Seems pretty straightforward. But Death, well, that one’s a bit more complicated. It’s not really about, you know, actual death. It’s more about endings and beginnings, transformation, and letting go of stuff to make room for new things.
Digging Deeper

What I Did Next
So, after all that reading and thinking, I decided to take some action. I started small. I wrote down a list of things I wanted to change or let go of. I even called up an old friend I had a falling out with, and we talked things out. It felt good, like a weight off my shoulders. Also, it is like a new start.
I’m not saying I’m suddenly a whole new person, but this whole tarot experience did get me thinking and motivated me to make some changes. It was definitely an interesting experience, pulling those cards and seeing what they had to say. Who knew a couple of pieces of cardboard could get you to reevaluate your life? Anyway, that’s my story about my little tarot adventure with The Lovers and Death. Kinda spooky, kinda insightful, and definitely something I’ll remember.
