Okay, so, let’s talk about Annie in ARAM. I’ve been spamming her a lot recently, and boy, is she strong! I mean, I was expecting her to be good, but not this good. I’ve played a bunch of games with her, and my win rate is way up there, something like 56%? She is a total beast in this mode.
I started out trying different builds. At first, I experimented with different rune, like, trying to make her a bit tankier. I’d take Dark Harvest as my keystone in the Domination tree, which a lot of people say is the best, but honestly? It wasn’t really doing it for me. My win rate wasn’t terrible, maybe around 54%, but it wasn’t amazing either. I kept thinking that I just needed more damage, you know?
So then I started messing around with items. I saw some guides recommending stuff like Malignance first, then Sorcerer’s Shoes, followed by Liandry’s Torment, Rylai’s Crystal Scepter, and finally Rabadon’s Deathcap. And this, my friends, is where the magic happened. My win rate shot up. I felt like I could one-shot almost anyone, it was crazy!

I also played around with the skill order. Most of the time, I’d max Q first, then W, and lastly E, I’d take R whenever possible. But there were some games where I felt like I needed more wave clear, so I’d put a few extra points into W early on. It really depends on the enemy team and how the game is going.
For the secondary runes, I usually go for the Precision tree. Triumph and Legend: Bloodline help with sustain, and Last Stand is great for those clutch moments. I know some people like Sudden Impact and Treasure Hunter, which could be good too, but I haven’t tested that setup yet. I’m sticking to my current setup.
My experience
I remember this one game where I was against a team with a lot of tanks. I was worried at first, but with this build, I was still melting them. It was insane! Liandry’s Torment did a ton of work, and Rylai’s kept them slowed so I could keep hitting them with my spells. And of course, once I got Rabadon’s, it was just game over. They couldn’t handle the burst. I am pretty sure that I could be called the carry in this game.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a strong mage to play in ARAM, give Annie a try. She’s a blast to play, and with the right build, you can absolutely dominate. Just remember to focus on damage, and don’t be afraid to experiment a bit with the skill order. I was so happy that I made this decision and I hope you can find success too!
