I had this idea to spend more time outdoors, so I picked up running. And since it’s summer, I thought, why not make it a “sun run” thing? Here’s how it went down.
First off, I made sure not to run when the sun was at its worst, you know, between 10 am and 4 pm. I found this sweet spot early in the morning. It was not just cooler but also way less crowded.
Then, I looked for routes with lots of trees. Running under the shade helped a ton. It felt less like I was baking in an oven and more like a nice warm hug. Plus, the scenery was way better.

Before I hit the road, I made sure to drink water. And I carried a bottle with me, too. Every time I felt like I was drying up, I took a big gulp. It’s wild how much you sweat when you’re out in the sun.
Staying hydrated
I can’t stress this enough, but staying hydrated made all the difference. I felt more energetic, and I didn’t get any of those nasty headaches or dizzy spells you hear about. It was smooth sailing.
