Alright, so the other day I was playing FF14, right? And I was trying to get this thing called a Colossus Totem. I heard it was a guaranteed drop, so I thought, “Easy peasy.” Boy, was I wrong.
First, I had to figure out where to even start. I remembered something about killing Titan Savage, so I did a quick search. Found some database with a bunch of info on quests and items. It mentioned the Colossus Totem, but honestly, it was a bit overwhelming. All those details about gathering locations and which mobs drop it… who has time for that?
Anyway, I finally found a team to take on Titan Savage. It took us a few tries, but we finally beat the big guy. And guess what? No Colossus Totem. I was like, “What the heck?”
Then someone in my party told me that the Colossus Totem only drops from something called TEA. They said it drops one for everyone, and you can trade it in for a weapon. But if you want all the weapons, you gotta do it a bunch of times. Great, just great.
So, I did some more digging. I watched some beginner’s guide videos, hoping they’d have some secret tip for getting the totem. Nope. Just basic stuff that I already knew. I even saw some more info about the totem being carved in the shape of a “very, very, very small Alexander.” Okay, cool, but not really helpful.
Long story short, I still don’t have the Colossus Totem. But I figured out that it’s not as simple as just killing Titan Savage. You gotta do this TEA thing, and it sounds like a real pain. But hey, at least I know where to start now. I guess I’ll have to try to find a group for TEA and see how it goes. Wish me luck!
- Took on Titan Savage with a team.
- Beat Titan Savage after a few tries.
- Learned that Colossus Totem only drops from TEA.
- Watched some beginner’s guide videos, but found nothing useful.
- Realized getting the totem requires doing TEA multiple times for all weapons.
Next Steps
Find a group and attempt TEA.
