Okay, so I’m playing this game, right? And there’s this thing called the “WoW Season of Discovery”. It’s pretty cool, you get to find these things called runes that give you special powers. I was going after this one rune, and the quest involves this mob called Carrodin.
I looked it up, and Carrodin is supposed to be in the Wetlands. It’s some kind of level 25 elite owl. Sounds easy enough, yeah? So, I headed over to the Wetlands, ready to take on this Carrodin and get my rune. I spent a good chunk of time searching, flying around, killing other owl NPCs thinking maybe I got the wrong info. Nothing.
- I double-checked the guides, watched some videos – everyone said the same thing: Wetlands, level 25 elite, it should drop the rune.
- But I’m telling you, this Carrodin was nowhere to be found, at least not the right one.
Then it hit me. I remembered reading something about a different method, something about a Rustling Bush in Mulgore. I figured, what the heck, I’ve got nothing to lose. I flew over to Mulgore, found the bush around the coordinates 59.02, 54.38. The guide said to use Hunter’s Mark on it, so I did. Lo and behold, a mob popped out.
I took it down, and guess what? It dropped a rune! Now, I don’t know if this was the rune I was originally after, but hey, a rune’s a rune, right? Maybe the whole Carrodin thing was outdated info, or maybe I just got super unlucky.
Change the Drop Way
Whatever the case, it seems like the Rustling Bush in Mulgore is the way to go, at least for now. I heard some folks saying that runes were being tested or something, so maybe things just got switched around. I also saw some stuff about a soul broker NPC, but I didn’t mess with that. I just wanted my rune and got it, even if it wasn’t from the place or way I expected. If you’re trying to get a rune and that Carrodin isn’t showing up, maybe give this bush a try.
Oh, and one more thing, I heard some people talking about a rune called “Lone Wolf” being sold by some guy named Grizzby in Ratchet. Apparently, you gotta be level 20 to talk to him. I haven’t tried that yet, but it’s another thing to keep in mind if you’re on the rune hunt.
Anyway, that’s my story. It wasn’t what I expected, but I ended up with a rune, and that’s what matters. Happy hunting, everyone!
