Okay, so, I’ve been grinding away at Final Fantasy XIV lately, and let me tell you, those Horde Totems are a real pain to get! I wanted to share my experience, and maybe it’ll help some folks out there who are also struggling.
First off, I had no clue what these Horde Totems were even for. I kept seeing them drop after beating Nidhogg, and they were just piling up in my inventory. I did a quick search online, which mentioned something about vendors and Solution Nine, but honestly, I was still pretty lost. It took some digging, but I eventually figured out that I needed a bunch of these things to trade for some cool gear and stuff.
So, I started running the Nidhogg trial over and over again. Each time I beat him, I’d get one of these Resilient Totems. The first few runs were okay, but it gets old pretty fast, you know? I teamed up with some friends, and that made the grind a little more bearable. We’d chat, joke around, and the time seemed to pass a bit quicker.
After what felt like a million Nidhogg kills, I finally collected 99 of those Resilient Totems. My inventory was overflowing! I then saw that I could use them with this vendor named Uah’shepya in Solution Nine. They had a list of items to choose from. I also found out that these Expanse Totems can be used with some Bertana vendor.
I also learned that there are different totems that drop from other trials. I saw things like Ravana, Thordan, Sephirot, and a bunch of others. Apparently, they all drop some kind of totem or currency that you can trade in. There are so many names to keep track of!
I’m still not totally sure what all the other totems are for, but for now, I’m just happy I finally got something out of those Horde Totems. I also saw some stuff about a Horde Axe and Horde Bow, but I haven’t gotten to those yet.
Honestly, the whole totem system is pretty confusing. There are so many different ones, and figuring out where to trade them and what you can get can be a real headache. It will take me some more time to get use to it. I wish the game made it a little clearer, or maybe I’m just slow on the uptake, haha.
Anyway, that’s my story about Horde Totems in Final Fantasy XIV. It’s a grind, but if you stick with it, you can eventually get some cool rewards. If anyone else has any tips or tricks, feel free to share them! I’m always looking for ways to make this process a little less painful.
