Okay, so it’s getting colder, and I’ve been meaning to get back into running. The thing is, my hands freeze up like popsicles the minute I step outside. So, I figured it was time to invest in some decent running gloves. I started by doing some basic research on what to look for.
I learned that running gloves are supposed to be like a shield for your hands, keeping them warm and cozy by protecting them from the cold, wind, and rain. Warmth is important, no matter where you are. Makes sense, right?
I also found out that apart from gloves, there’s other gear to consider, like thermal running tights or pants and a hat or beanie. But gloves were my main concern.

The Black Diamond Mercury mitts were indeed very warm, almost too warm for milder days. But I could see them being perfect for really cold weather. They felt durable, and the insulation was top-notch.

After trying both, I decided to keep both pairs. I figured the Black Diamond Mercury mitts would be my go-to for freezing temperatures, while the Manzella All Elements 3.0 Gloves would be great for less extreme conditions. The gloves were great! They really did make a difference in keeping my hands warm.
So, that’s my little adventure with finding the best running gloves. It was a bit of trial and error, but I ended up with two solid options that should cover me for any kind of cold weather running.
