Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Nidalee in ARAM, trying to figure out the best way to play her. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you. Started off pretty rough, not gonna lie. I was getting my butt kicked left and right. But I’m stubborn, so I kept at it.
First thing I did was look up some builds online. There’s a ton of info out there, but it’s kinda all over the place. I saw a lot of people recommending Luden’s Companion, and that seemed like a good starting point. So I started building that first, every game.
Then there’s the whole Sorcerer’s Shoes thing. Makes sense, right? More magic penetration, more damage. Boom. Added those to the build.
Next up, I experimented with a few different items. Stormsurge seemed pretty popular, so I gave that a shot. And you know what? It felt pretty good! That extra burst damage really helped me secure some kills.
After that, I tried out Shadowflame. It seemed like a decent item on paper, and in practice, it did add a little bit more oomph to my attacks, especially against squishier targets.
And of course, you can’t forget about Rabadon’s Deathcap. It’s expensive, yeah, but that massive AP boost is just too good to pass up. Once I got that, I was really starting to feel powerful.
Now, for the runes, this is where things got interesting. Initially, I was going with the Domination tree as my primary, with Dark Harvest as my keystone. It felt okay, but not amazing. I wasn’t really stacking it up that fast in ARAM.
- Primary Path: Domination
- Secondary Path: This is where I was trying different things.
Then I saw some people running Precision as their primary, with Conqueror. At first, I was like, “Conqueror on Nidalee? In ARAM? What?” But I decided to give it a try anyway, and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised.
It actually felt pretty good! I was able to stack it up surprisingly quickly, and the extra damage and healing really helped me stay alive in those chaotic ARAM fights.
For my secondary path, I did some mixing, sometimes I pick Domination, sometimes I pick others.
I also tried some other runes. Some folks were using Hail of Blades, Sudden Impact, and Eyeball Collection, but these didn’t quite match my playstyle. They felt a bit too focused on burst, and I prefer a more sustained damage approach.
After tons of games and a lot of trial and error, I think I finally found a setup that works for me. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure there’s still room for improvement, but it’s definitely a lot better than where I started.
Oh, and for summoner spells, I always go with Flash and Mark. Flash is a no-brainer, and Mark is just too good in ARAM for chasing and securing kills.
My win rate with Nidalee in ARAM is still not great, hovering around 37% according to some site, but I’m having a lot more fun now that I have a better understanding of how to build and play her. It took a while to get the hang of her, but now I actually feel like I’m contributing to the team.
It’s been a long, frustrating, but ultimately rewarding journey. I’m still learning and experimenting, but I think I’m finally on the right track with Nidalee in ARAM. I know this build and setup isn’t perfect and still needs to improve, but at least I am making progress.
So, yeah, that’s my Nidalee ARAM story. Hope it helps someone out there. It’s definitely a unique way to play her, and it might not be for everyone, but it’s been working for me. Now I am going to play some more games, wish me luck!
