First off, I picked the Shaman mastery. Why? Well, word on the street is that it’s a good fit for this totem playstyle. Plus, it lets you transform into this Spriggan Form, which is basically a walking, talking plant creature. It looked kinda funky, so I figured, “Why not?”
Now, the main idea behind this build is to spam these Thorn Totems. Think of them as little spiky plants that shoot out thorns at anything that moves. They automatically target enemies, so you don’t even have to aim. Pretty neat, huh?
So, I started leveling up my Shaman and dumped a bunch of points into the Thorn Totem skill. Then, I focused on getting the Spriggan Form. The whole point is to turn into this plant thing and then just drop totems everywhere like you’re planting a really angry garden.
I spent a good chunk of time just running around, transforming, and summoning these totems. Even when there weren’t any bad guys around, I would pop down a totem now and then. Why? Apparently, even if there’s nothing to shoot at, you should keep casting the summon. It’s just how the build works.
