Hey guys, so I’ve been messing around with these things called “raven runes” lately. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you.
First off, I had to figure out what these runes even were. Turns out, they’re these old symbols, kinda like letters, but way cooler. Each one has a sound, like how the “m” rune is called “ma�r” which means “man”. And the “s” rune is “s�l”, for “sun”. Pretty neat, huh?
Now, there are these things called “Elder Futhark” and “Younger Futhark”. The Elder one has 24 runes, and it was used by a bunch of old Germanic tribes back in the day. Then, around the Viking Age, it shifted to the Younger Futhark, which only has 16 runes.
I got really into this one rune, the “k” rune, ᚲ. It’s called “Kaun” or “Kenaz”, and it means “ulcer” or “torch”. I know, “ulcer” sounds kinda gross, but “torch” is way more interesting. It’s all about knowledge, which I’m all for.
But then, things got a bit weird. I started digging into this game, League of Legends, and there’s this character called Riven. Apparently, people make these “rune builds” for her, trying to get the best stats and win rates. It’s a whole thing. Some folks track millions of these games to figure out the best strategies. It’s insane.
They say Riven is strongest around 35-40 minutes into the game, with a 51.99% win rate, but weakest in the first 25 minutes, at 50.43%. People have all these different rune setups for her, depending on her position and stuff. I even saw that Riven is a good counter to this other character, Yasuo. Who knew?
There’s also this “Lethal” rune, which is apparently great if you like extended fights or have strong teammates. It gives you this stacking attack speed buff, which sounds pretty powerful.
Honestly, I went down a rabbit hole with this whole Riven thing. I didn’t even plan to get into the game stuff, but it just kinda happened. It’s crazy how much detail people put into these builds. I was just trying to learn about some cool symbols, and now I’m knee-deep in video game stats.
Anyway, that’s my journey with raven runes so far. It’s been a mix of ancient symbols and modern gaming. You never know where a simple curiosity might lead you!
