Okay, so I’ve been messing around with this whole “tarot” thing lately, and I gotta say, it’s pretty wild. I decided to make my own tarot cards, called “colar tarot.”
First off, I started digging into what tarot even is. Turns out, there’s a ton of different types out there. You got your Rider-Waite, your Thoth, your Marseille, and a bunch of others. Each one has its own vibe, you know? Different pictures, different meanings.
I looked at the popular ones, like the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the Thoth deck, and the Marseille deck. I realized each of them have their own style, and I needed to pick something that felt right to me.
I went with a new style for my “colar tarot” cards. I used art nouveau, something like that, with those fancy lines and flowy forms. And I focused on all the nature stuff. It felt good, you know, organic and all that.
Then I started creating the cards. I learned that The Fool is the first card, numbered zero, which means infinite possibilities. I drew my Fool card in an Art Nouveau style, but with a personal twist. I added elements that symbolized new beginnings to me, like a sunrise and a winding path. I made the Fool look like a traveler, ready to embark on a new journey. The art was heavily inspired by nature, with flowing lines and intricate details. I spent hours perfecting each card, making sure the imagery was just right.
I went through the whole process, from sketching out ideas to finalizing the artwork. I was drawing, erasing, re-drawing, and trying to get the feeling of each card just right. It was a lot of work, but seeing the images come to life was pretty cool. It is hard but fun. I learned a lot about tarot and art along the way.
Finally, I had my full set of “colar tarot” cards. I laid them all out, and it felt amazing. Like I’d really created something special. Now I can use them for readings, and they feel way more personal since I made them myself.
So that’s my story about making my own tarot cards. It was a wild ride, but I’m stoked with how they turned out. Maybe I’ll share some readings with them sometime. Who knows?
