But I shuffled the deck, thinking about Max and how he’d been acting a bit off lately, like he was bored or something. I pulled a card. I figured maybe Max needed a change of pace, some good luck, or something new in his life. So, the next day, I took him to a new dog park. He went nuts! He was running around, playing with other dogs, and he had this huge doggy grin on his face the whole time. He seemed much happier after that, and it felt like I understood him a little better.

- Took Action: Based on the card’s message, I tried to do something different with Max or for him.
Look, I don’t know if these cards have magic powers or whatever. Maybe it’s just a fun way to think about my dog’s life and my relationship with him. But ever since I started using these “dog tarot cards,” I feel like I’ve been paying more attention to Max, trying to understand his needs better, and we’ve been having more fun together. He’s my best friend, after all, and these cards, as silly as it sounds, have helped me connect with him on a different level.
What I Learned
It is not about predicting the future or anything like that. It’s more about using the cards as a tool to focus my attention on my dog and think about his well-being. It’s like a conversation starter, even if it’s a one-sided one! I am not saying it would work for everyone, but it was a fun experience. I felt like it was a way to tap into that unconditional love and wisdom that dogs offer us, just like what I read about “The Wise Dog” deck.
