Alright, guys, let’s talk about my little adventure with Vladimir’s ARAM runes. I’ve been messing around with this for a while now, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code, or at least found something that works pretty darn well.
The Setup
So, first things first, I jumped into a bunch of ARAM games. I mean, a LOT. I wanted to really test out different rune setups for Vladimir because, let’s face it, he can be a beast in ARAM if you play him right. I started off with the usual stuff, you know, the recommended runes, but it just didn’t feel quite right.
Experimentation Time
I started tinkering. First, I went down the Dark Harvest route. This seemed like a solid choice, especially in ARAM where you’re constantly poking and getting those stacks. For the rest of the primary tree, I went with Taste of Blood because, hey, who doesn’t like a bit of extra healing? Eyeball Collection was a no-brainer, more ability power is always good. And then Treasure Hunter, because more gold means faster items, right?
For the secondary tree, Transcendence was my go-to. Cooldown reduction is king in ARAM. And then Gathering Storm because those late-game scalings on Vladimir can get pretty insane.
The Results
Honestly, this setup felt pretty good. I was doing a ton of damage, and the extra gold from Treasure Hunter really helped me hit my item spikes faster. But I wasn’t done yet. I tried a few other things, like Conqueror, but nothing really clicked as well as Dark Harvest. It just felt like the perfect fit for Vladimir’s playstyle in ARAM.
- Dark Harvest: Great for snowballing and bursting down squishies.
- Taste of Blood: That little bit of sustain goes a long way.
- Eyeball Collection: Free ability power, yes please!
- Treasure Hunter: Get those core items built ASAP.
- Transcendence: More spell-slinging goodness.
- Gathering Storm: Become an absolute monster in the late game.
Final Thoughts
After all this testing, I’m pretty confident in this rune setup. Of course, your mileage may vary, and it’s always good to adapt to the specific game, like if they have a lot of tanks, maybe consider other options. But for a general, all-around good Vladimir ARAM build, I think this is the way to go. I also tried out different item builds and found that Cosmic Drive, Sorcerer’s Shoes, Rabadon’s Deathcap, Void Staff, and Stormsurge worked like a charm in most of my games. I noticed that I had a tough time against Taric and Malzahar, but I was able to stomp on LeBlanc, Rengar, and Zed most of the time. I’d say, give it a shot and let me know what you think.
