Totem RV & Trailer Park Westport WA Reviews: Is It the Right Spot for Your Vacation?
Alright, so I’ve been meaning to share this for a while now. It’s about my recent trip to the Totem RV & Trailer Park in Westport, WA. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience.
It all started when I decided to take a little road trip with my old, trusty RV. I’d heard about this place, Totem RV & Trailer Park, from a buddy who’s always going on about his RV adventures. He said it’s a decent spot, close to the docks, and great if you’re into fishing, which, you know, I kinda am.
So, I packed my stuff, made sure the RV was in good shape, and hit the road. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but nothing too crazy. When I got to Westport, finding the place was pretty straightforward. It’s at 2421 Nyhus Street North. Can’t miss it, really.
Pulling into the park, the first thing I noticed was that it was not huge. It’s cozy. The spots are a bit close together, but it’s not like you’re on top of each other. It’s an urban setting, so that’s to be expected. I found my site. It had full hookups, which is always a plus. I’m talking 20/30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer. Everything you need.
I got settled in, connected everything up, and you know what? It was smooth sailing. The owner, Joe, he’s a character. I heard he’s been running this place for a while, and you can tell he knows what he’s doing. Every time I saw him, he had a friendly word. Good guy.
The Area
- The Docks: It’s super close to the docks. I went down there a few times, checked out the boats, and even did a bit of fishing. Caught a couple of decent-sized ones, if I may say so myself.
- The Town: Westport itself is a nice little town. It’s got that small-town vibe, you know? Everyone’s friendly, and there are a few places to grab a bite or get supplies.
I spent a few days there, and honestly, it was pretty chill. I mean, it’s not the fanciest place in the world, but it’s got everything you need. And it’s quiet, which is a big plus for me. I like my peace and quiet when I’m on these trips.
One thing I will say, though, is that if you’re looking for a ton of amenities, this might not be the place for you. They’ve got the basics covered, but it’s not a resort or anything. It’s just a good, solid RV park.
I met a few other folks staying there. Mostly older couples, a few families. Everyone was pretty laid back, just enjoying their time. We swapped a few stories, shared some laughs. It’s always nice to meet fellow travelers.
All in all, my time at Totem RV & Trailer Park was good. I went there to get some peace and enjoy fishing. I got my full hookups, the people were friendly, and the location was great. So, if you’re planning a trip to Westport and you’ve got an RV, you might want to check out Totem RV & Trailer Park. It’s not fancy, but it’s a solid choice. Just remember, it’s about the simple things in life, right?
