Alright, guys, let’s talk about something I messed around with today – Cho’Gath in ARAM. I’ve been trying to figure out a solid rune setup for him in this game mode and wanted to share what I’ve been tinkering with.
Diving into Cho’Gath ARAM Runes
So, first thing I did was hop into a few ARAM games. I love playing Cho’Gath. He’s a beast, especially when you get those stacks going. I played him a lot of times to figure out his runes. I wanted to be able to tank a ton of damage and still dish it out.
The most popular choice, and what I started experimenting with, was the Resolve tree. Grasp of the Undying seemed like a no-brainer. I mean, extra health? Yes, please! Plus, it gives you some sustain in those crazy ARAM team fights. I picked it more than half the games I played and, no joke, I won over half of those! Made me feel like a genius, haha.
I also messed around with some of the other runes in the Resolve tree. Demolish sounded great on paper because of how often you’re near towers in ARAM, but I felt it didn’t make a huge difference. I did like Bone Plating, though. That helped me survive those initial bursts of damage when the enemy team decides to focus on you.
Experimenting and Adjusting
After playing many games, I tried out some different rune combinations. I even looked at what some of the top Cho’Gath players were doing in ARAM. It looks like most players choose to use Heartsteel and Mercury’s Treads.
- Grasp of the Undying: This was my go-to keystone. It just works so well with Cho’Gath’s kit.
- Bone Plating: Saved me more times than I can count.
- Conditioning: More tankiness? Don’t mind if I do.
- Overgrowth: Because who doesn’t want even MORE health?
The Final Verdict
I gotta say, after all this experimenting, I’m feeling pretty good about this rune setup. Cho’Gath just feels so strong in ARAM with these runes. It felt really good to soak up so much damage and keep on trucking. It’s like I could just stand there and laugh as the enemy team tries to take me down.
Of course, your mileage may vary. Runes are just one part of the equation. You still gotta land those skill shots and know when to use your ultimate, but I think these runes give you a serious edge. So, give ’em a try and let me know what you think. Maybe you’ll find something even better! Happy gaming, folks!
