Okay, so today I wanna talk about my experience with taking down those Rune Dragons in OSRS. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell you!
Gearing Up
First things first, I got my melee stats up. I’m talking at least base 90s here. It was a bit of a grind, but you know, gotta put in the work. Then, I grabbed my trusty Ghrazi rapier. From what I’ve found that’s the best stab weapon around for these guys, and you’re gonna want that. A friend told me that you can’t use some weapons like Veracs, Dharoks, or any of the two-handed ones, so watch out for that.
The First Encounter
My first try was… well, it was rough. I went in there, thinking I was all that, and got smacked around pretty good. These Rune Dragons, they hit hard. I realized pretty quickly that I was gonna have to tank it out. There’s no dancing around these guys; you gotta be ready to take some hits.
Learning the Ropes
- Trial and Error: After a few more attempts, I started to get the hang of it. I played around with my inventory setup, tried different prayers, and watched some guys killing rune dragons on YouTube – you know, the usual stuff.
- Positioning: I figured out that where you stand makes a big difference. You want to position yourself so you’re only taking hits from one dragon at a time if you can.
- Staying Alive: Keeping my health up was a full-time job. I chugged potions like there was no tomorrow. And prayer flicking? Let’s just say I got pretty good at it.
Finally Took One Down
Finally, after many attempts and a whole lot of supplies, I managed to take one down. It was intense! My heart was pounding, my hands were sweating, but I did it. The loot wasn’t half bad either. Made it feel like all that effort was worth something.
Still Learning
I’m still not an expert or anything. I’m still getting my butt kicked sometimes. But I’m getting better. Each fight teaches me something new. It’s a challenge, for sure, but a fun one. If you’re thinking about trying to kill some Rune Dragons, just be prepared for a tough fight. But hey, if I can do it, so can you! Just remember what I said about the weapons, and be ready to tank!
