And for them real slow pokes, they even got a 1-mile stroll. Heck, even I could do that one, though I might need a good stick to lean on!

They’re doin’ this thing at somethin’ called “The Park at River Walk.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Probably got them smooth paths and pretty trees, not like the dusty roads I’m used to. But hey, as long as there’s coffee at the end, I ain’t complainin’.
When’s it happening?
Now, they had one of these runs just last year, in 2024. But the big one, the one they’re makin’ a fuss about, that’s comin’ up on Saturday, February 15th, 2025. Mark your calendars, folks, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I’ll probably be at home, sippin’ my own coffee, but I’ll be thinkin’ of y’all runnin’ your hearts out.
Why should I care about this?
And get this, they ain’t just runnin’ for the fun of it. They’re doin’ it for a good cause, too. Somethin’ about “Wounded Heroes.” Bless their hearts, them soldiers deserve all the help they can get. So, if you’re gonna run, you might as well run for somethin’ good, right? That’s what I always say.
