My Dashlane Is Running Slow All of a Sudden: What to Do

Well, let me tell you, this Dashlane thingamajig has been acting up lately, real slow-like.

I don’t know what’s got into it, but it ain’t working like it used to. I paid good money for this thing, you know? And now it’s slower than molasses in January.

My Dashlane Is Running Slow All of a Sudden: What to Do

I ain’t no spring chicken, and I ain’t got time for this nonsense. I just want my passwords to work, and I want them to work fast. I need this thing to help me remember passwords, all those numbers and letters, it’s too much for an old woman like me.

  • First off, it takes forever to load.
  • Then, when I try to log in somewhere, it just sits there, spinning and spinning.
  • Sometimes it don’t even fill in the passwords at all. I gotta do it myself, and what’s the point of having it then?

I heard them fellas at Dashlane say they fixed somethin’ about the memory leaking out or somethin’. Said it was makin’ the computer work too hard. They put out a new version, number 6.2251.2, they say. But I ain’t seen no difference, not yet anyways.

I been payin’ for this premium thing since 2013, a long, long time. And it was workin’ just fine for a while there. But these past few months, it’s been nothin’ but trouble. It’s enough to make you spit! I swear it’s enough to make you want to go back to writin’ everything down on a piece of paper, like the good old days. But then I lose the paper, and then where am I?

I even tried doin’ that reset password thing. You know, where you go to the login page and click on that “Forgot your password?” I followed all the instructions, used my email and all. But it didn’t seem to help much. Still slow as ever. Password reset, my foot! More like password hassle.

They also talk about importin’ data, like with that CSV thing. I ain’t messed with that much, but I heard some folks havin’ trouble with it. Import this, import that, it’s all too complicated if you ask me.

I checked their website too, to see if somethin’ was broke. They got a place where they tell you if things are runnin’ right or if they’re fixin’ somethin’. But it didn’t say nothin’ about bein’ slow. Just said stuff about upcoming maintenance, whatever that means.

I saw some folks complainin’ on that Twitter thing too. They were sayin’ the same thing, that it’s slow and laggy. So, it ain’t just me then. Misery loves company, I guess, but it don’t fix the problem, does it?

Dashlane says they got some ideas about why it’s slowin’ down. Well, I hope they figure it out soon, ’cause I’m losin’ my patience. And at my age, you ain’t got much patience left to lose.

Sometimes, when I’m tryin’ to log in, the autofill thing just don’t work. It’s supposed to fill in the passwords for you automatically, but it just sits there. I have to type everything in myself, and that takes forever. My fingers ain’t as nimble as they used to be.

They also say somethin’ about clearin’ out the browser data. You know, the cookies and the history and all that. Says it might speed things up. I tried that too, but it didn’t do a lick of good. It’s still slow, slow, slow. Makes you want to pull your hair out, I tell ya.

I heard they’re gettin’ rid of that authenticator app too. The one you use to make sure it’s really you loggin’ in. Guess they decided it wasn’t important no more. Said somethin’ about business priorities. Well, I guess gettin’ my Dashlane to work fast ain’t a priority for them neither.

I use this thing on Chrome, but they say you can use it on Firefox, Safari, Edge, and even that DuckDuckGo thing. But DuckDuckGo don’t work with the extensions, whatever that means. I don’t know about all that fancy stuff. All I know is, it ain’t workin’ right on my Chrome.

So, there you have it. My Dashlane is runnin’ slow, and I’m at my wit’s end. I hope them fellas at Dashlane fix it soon, ’cause I don’t know how much longer I can put up with this. It’s a real pain in the neck, if you know what I mean. I just want my passwords to work, and I want them to work fast. Is that too much to ask? Maybe it’s time to look for something new, somethin’ that works better. I ain’t gettin’ any younger, and I ain’t got time to waste on a slow password manager.
