SOD Runes Paladin: Easy Guide for Beginners Who Want to Get All Paladin Runes

Alright, let’s talk about something I messed around with today – these new runes for Paladins in SoD. It’s like they’re trying to make us actually want to tank or heal, you know?

Finding Runes

First off, getting these runes is a bit of a scavenger hunt. You gotta do these weird little rituals with Librams. Basically, you equip a Libram in your relic slot – like you’re some kind of bookworm warrior – and then you gotta do specific things to get this “Inspired” buff. Once you’re “Inspired,” you click the Libram and boom, new rune.

The Rebuke Rune

I started with trying to get the Rebuke rune. This one was a trip. I went to Stormwind and talked to this lady, Liv Bradford. She’s like, “Hey, can you go rough up this Stuart guy for me?” So I had to track him down, beat him up, and then go back to Liv. She gave me the rune for doing her dirty work. I was like really I became a debt collector. Not exactly glorious paladin stuff, but hey, a rune’s a rune.

Beacon of Light

Then there’s this Beacon of Light rune. For this one, I needed to buy some item called “Rune of Beckoning Light.” But get this – you can only buy it if you’re friendly with this new supply faction. So, I spent a good chunk of the day grinding out rep with these guys, just to be able to buy the darn thing for 4 gold and 50 silver. Finally got it, though.

Experimenting

  • Tanking: I slapped on some tanking runes and tried to be the meat shield for a bit. It felt… different. Not my usual style, but I can see how some folks might dig it. I managed to do it but I’m not gonna lie, this made my brain hurt.
  • Healing: Healing with these new runes is also a whole thing. I gave it a shot, and it’s definitely more involved than just spamming Flash of Light. These new runes added more options.

My Thoughts

Honestly, it’s a lot to take in. I’m not sure if I’m totally sold on tanking or healing as a Paladin, but it’s cool that they’re giving us more options. I guess I’ll keep messing around with these runes and see if anything really clicks. If you’re a Paladin in SoD, you should definitely check these out – just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve and some serious legwork to get them all.

That’s it for my Paladin rune adventure today. It was a day full of running around, beating up random guys, and trying to remember which button does what. If any of you have had better luck or figured out some cool tricks, let me know! I am not that into this yet.
