Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another story from the trenches. Today, I messed around with something called a “Jukebox Totem.” Sounds kinda fancy, right? Well, let me tell you, it was an interesting ride.
So, first off, I grabbed this Jukebox Totem thing. It’s apparently some card used in a game. Not really my usual scene, but hey, gotta try new stuff. This thing had some numbers on it: 2/0/3. I figured the 2 was some kind of cost, like you need 2 somethings to use it. The 0, I guessed, was how much damage it could do, and the 3 was probably how much damage it could take.
Next, I started digging around to figure out what this thing actually does. Turns out, it’s kind of like a mini music player, or at least that’s how I saw it. You know those old jukeboxes where you put in a coin and pick a song? This seemed like a mini version of that. It said something about “at the end of your turn,” which I took to mean it does something after you’ve made your move in the game.
Here’s how I imagined it working:
- You “pay” the 2 cost to get this Jukebox Totem into the game.
- It just sits there, not attacking or anything, hence the 0.
- It can take a bit of a beating, up to 3 points of damage.
- Then, at the end of your turn, it does its thing, like playing a song or whatever this card does.
I kept picturing those old-timey jukeboxes, the ones with the vinyl records and flashing lights. This Jukebox Totem felt like a tiny, digital version of that, sitting there in the game waiting to play its tune. Honestly, it was kind of a cool idea, even though I’m not totally sure how useful it is in the game itself.
I also found out that some guy named Daniil Kudriavtsev designed this thing. Props to him, it’s a neat little concept. And it looks like it was released just recently, in May. So, it’s pretty new, which is cool.
Anyways, that was my little adventure with the Jukebox Totem. I spent a good chunk of my day just wrapping my head around it. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert now, but I definitely understand it a whole lot better than when I started. It just goes to show, you can find some pretty interesting stuff in the most unexpected places. Keep on exploring, folks!
