Okay, so, I got this idea in my head to make a totem pole, right? And not just any totem pole, but one with an owl on top. It started one afternoon when I was chilling in my backyard. I looked up and saw an owl perched on a tree. It was super cool and got me thinking.

I spent days just roughing out the basic shape of the pole and the owl.

They fit together perfectly, like a puzzle piece. I secured it with some wood glue and a couple of hidden screws just to be safe. I definitely didn’t want my owl falling off!
Once the owl was firmly in place, I added some finishing touches. I stained the wood to give it a nice, rich color. After the stain dried, I applied a coat of sealant to protect it from the weather. I wanted this totem pole to last a long time, rain or shine.
The Final Touches
Finally, I found the perfect spot in my garden for the totem pole. Placing it there was a bit of a workout, but with the help of a friend, we got it standing tall and proud. Now, every time I look out my window, I see my owl totem pole. It’s a reminder to trust my instincts and to always be aware of what’s happening around me. I felt like this was a reminder from a single owl sighting.
