Cool Contemporary Pool Water Features Youll Love | Modern Pool Design Ideas
Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to add some cool stuff to my pool, you know, to make it look more modern and fancy. I decided to go with some contemporary water features. Let me tell you, it was a journey, but I’m really happy with how it turned out.
First, I did a bunch of looking around. I checked out tons of pools online, looked at what my neighbors had, and even went to a few pool supply stores. There are so many options out there! I saw everything from simple fountains to crazy waterfalls and those infinity-edge things.
After a lot of back and forth, I decided to go with a few simple things. I wanted something that looked nice but wasn’t too over the top, also wasn’t too hard to put in. I picked out three small fountains to put along one side of the pool. I figured they’d add a nice touch and the sound of the water would be relaxing.
Next up was actually getting the fountains. I ended up ordering them online because I found a better deal than what the stores had. The ones I got were pretty easy to install, which was a relief. I’m not the handiest person, to be honest. But it took a few days to get them all set up and working.
I also decided to add some seating areas around the pool. I found a comfy sofa, big enough for four people, and put it near a fire pit I already had. Then I got a couple of lounge chairs for by the water, you know, for sunbathing and stuff. My friend, Julie, she’s got a great eye for this kind of thing, she helped me pick out some cushions and throws to make everything look nice and coordinated.

- Decor: Cushions and throws to match the pool’s color scheme.
Once everything was set up, I added some finishing touches. I planted some flowers around the pool area, added some lights for nighttime, and even got a few of those floating pool lights. Now, it’s like a whole different space!
The Results
I’m really stoked about how it all turned out. The pool looks so much better now, and it’s a great place to hang out and relax. The sound of the fountains is super peaceful, and the seating areas are perfect for chilling with friends. It feels like I have my own little resort in my backyard!
If you’re thinking about sprucing up your pool, I definitely recommend adding some water features. It makes a huge difference!
