First off, I found this place online while looking for somewhere to crash near Cedar Breaks National Monument. It’s about 35 km away, which isn’t too bad of a drive. So I booked a room, thinking it would be a decent place to rest my head after a day of exploring.
Pulling up to the lodge, it’s this cabin-style place tucked away in the woods. Kind of gives you that rustic, back-to-nature vibe, you know? I parked my car – they’ve got free parking, which is always a plus – and headed inside.
The inside of the cabin was pretty cozy. I got a room with free WiFi, which was good because, let’s be honest, who doesn’t need internet these days? The place has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, so it’s not cramped or anything. The beds are alright, and the bathrooms are standard.
One of the best parts, though, was the deck. I spent a good chunk of time out there, just chilling and soaking up the cool mountain air. You can see all sorts of wildlife just wandering around. It’s pretty neat if you’re into that sort of thing.
